Diagnosed my truck and even though it ended up being a motor issue they helped me get in contact with the right people to help me get it fixed properly and quickly!! Very good service and very good people!

With any transmission issue you expect the worst and think big $$$. Taking it to Jim Collins at Mister Transmission in Lindsay was the best decision we could have made. Jim got to our vehicle as quickly as he was able. He took the time to explain all the steps he has to go thru to diagnose any issues with newer electronic controlled transmissions and broke it down in a way that was easy to understand. He did a thorough evaluation and it turned out the problem was an external electronic issue and not an expensive rebuild. You can imagine my relief and joy in finding an honest mechanic close to our new home. I know as much about transmissions as I do ancient Greek literature (which is to say none at all) so I would be an easy target. Jim did a great job and I will be referring him to friends and family as well as taking our other vehicle in soon for some much needed maintenance. 5 stars all the way.

I have been to Mister Transmission twice and I have been satisfied with the service and communication.

Mehul and Aki took the time to explain the necessary work, providing great advice and insight. The work was completed within the time frame discussed. Final bill was actually slightly less than quoted. All fluids used matched the BMW specifications. I’m thrilled with the work they did!

I want to Thank Joe at Mr. Transmission in Peterborough for his Kindness and Help! I needed an O ring to fix a leak in my 1972 c10 turbo 350 transmission and I could not find one anywhere. Joe not only provided me with the O ring he also said no charge! To say the least I was Very Thankful and Grateful! In this day and age it is awesome to have caring people like Joe and Mr. Transmission! Mr. Transmission is definitely a place to do business with! With Gratitude! Steve Drinkwalter

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Mister Transmission. They rebuilt the transmission on my Lincoln, and it’s been running flawlessly ever since—fantastic workmanship. On top of that, they took the time to thoroughly inspect my Pontiac G5 on two separate occasions to help diagnose a tricky issue. When it turned out to be an electrical problem beyond their scope, they were completely honest and referred me to a great wiring specialist rather than running up my bill. A special shoutout to Julie at the front desk—she is always so welcoming, kind, and helpful. Honest, skilled, and customer-focused service is hard to come by, but this shop nails it. Highly recommend!

Great service, great people. Very informative. I had my Outlander looked at for what I thought was noise coming from the drive train. They inspected, and found a bad wheel hub. Answered all my questions.

I found the guys to be very experienced with transmissions. Also found a clutch and front engine mount issue. These were both real issues (my son and I rebuilt this car so we know the history of both those items and that the issues were real). So from an expertise standpoint - all good From a finishing standpoint there were a couple of fumbles: the car had brand new red carpets and the car came back with greasy footprints. We cleaned them so no harm. The bigger issue was that to get the transmission removed required removal of the intake pipe and when it was reinstalled, they missed a seal on the airflow sensor which caused to be unable to idle without stalling. Well Alex and rebuilt the car and we found the vacuum leak quickly. Sealed it up - all good. But if we didn’t have that experience we would have had to tow it back and have Mr transmission to figure it out. I bet that would have caused real headaches. Would I recommend the shop? Yeah.

We contacted Mister Transmission to quote a new transmission on our Ford Transit and they were extremely helpful. They provided us with a solution, a competitive quote and then checked in on warranty after they noticed our Km were low on the Van. We bought this van used and were originally told the transmission wasn’t under warranty anymore. However, they called ford directly and found that it was. They have an extremely honest team that truly had our best interest. They could have easily got our business for a new transmission but now we are saving thousands of dollars. This will be my go to place for my business and personal transmission needs. Highly recommend checking them out if you have any transmission issues.

This was my first time coming here and also my first time dealing with a transmission problem. I brought my Mazda CX-5 in because it was having trouble shifting into 4th and 5th gear. After they checked the car, they explained that there was a problem with the sprag inside the transmission. Since I’ve never had a transmission problem before, I really didn’t know much about it or what I should do. I really appreciate how patient the staff were with me. They didn’t just tell me right away that I needed to rebuild the whole transmission or pressure me into spending money. Instead, they gave me different options and took their time explaining the pros and cons of each one. I asked a lot of questions, and everyone was very nice and willing to explain things to me. They made sure I understood what was happening with my car before I made any decision. I could tell they were actually trying to help me figure out what made the most sense instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive option. In the end, I decided to rebuild the transmission. I also got my engine oil changed, transmission fluid changed, and some other work done. They gave me a pretty good deal for doing everything together, which I really appreciated. What stood out to me the most was definitely the staff. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, patient, and thoughtful. Whenever I had a question or concern, they tried their best to help me. Having transmission problems for the first time can be pretty stressful, but they made the whole experience a lot easier for me. Overall, I had a really good experience here. If I ever have another transmission problem, I would definitely come back. This is a place where I feel comfortable leaving my car and trusting the people working on it. Definitely recommend them if you’re having transmission issues.
