COVID-19 Update

At Mister Transmission, we prioritize the health & safety of our staff and customers above all else. We hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this difficult and unprecedented time.

As declared by the Provincial and Federal Governments, Mister Transmission (being an automotive repair facility) is deemed an Essential Service and will continue to remain OPEN to service our communities it is critical that members in our communities have access to a reliable vehicle. Since many of our stores are operating with new policies and procedures in place (including some with closed reception areas and no walk-ins), Please call your local Mister Transmission to book an appointment if you are experiencing any issues with your vehicle.

We are continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and implementing new procedures based on the recommendations from Public Health Canada, to help protect the health and well-being of our staff and customers. 

As a Canadian company for over 55 years, we know that in times of crisis Canadians come together to support each other and together we will overcome this difficult time. To those of you who are also out there providing essential services, we truly appreciate you and we are here to support you any way that we can.

COVID-19 Update: March 23rd 2020

With the escalation of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we are taking a responsible stance during this time to prioritize the health and well-being of our valued customers and employees.

As our stores remain open so we can continue to provide Canadian’s with an essential service to help keep our customer’s vehicles on the road, Mister Transmission is following the guidance of WHO and Health Canada by implementing new policies and procedures to do our part in reducing the risk of spreading the virus.

  • Frequent cleaning and sanitization procedures in all areas of the shop: some of our stores have closed their waiting area, please call your local store to make an appointment.
  • Regular hand washing: our staff will be wearing gloves when making any contact with your keys and vehicle.
  • Maintaining personal space and practicing social distancing
  • All staff who have traveled outside of Canada, or experiencing any symptoms (mild or severe) will stay at home for a minimum of 14 days to self-isolate.
  • For customers not comfortable or unable to visit the store, we are offering pick-up and drop-off services as required. We also have a key drop-box to accommodate customers dropping off their vehicle during or after-hours.

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 rapidly changes, we will continue to evolve our response to it. Please contact your local Mister Transmission to learn more about the precautionary measures we are taking and how we can accommodate your needs and concerns.

Mr. Transmission was recommended to me by a friend because of their experience and I was not disappointed. They had my damaged Jeep towed to thier shop and within a day had identified the issue and the appropriate actions to repair it. The front end staff was very helpful, and the technician explained the issue fully. I had my vehicle within a couple days, fully repaired, and the bill came in under the quote. I would recommend Mr. Transmission to anyone needing drivetrain/transmission repairs. Their service and repair work stands out among the rest. THANK YOU to Dawn, Kris and Mr. Transmission!

Ok so I phone around...

Ok so I phone around a few places looking for a new clutch in my 1990 f150 302. Lots were about the same price. But I had the clutch done on my ranger here in 97 and it was a perfect job. That ranger pulled a pretty big boat it had no business moving . I sold the ranger in 2021 with same clutch working perfectly..lol Now forward to 2024 I decided to give these guys a shot as they did such a great job in 97 . It should be noted that I just changed the engine in my 91 geo, I am not a mechanic or a tech..but I know the basics and I know when it’s right and when it’s wrong. I can’t do the clutch in big red ..think transfer case ..giant transmission ..flywheel resurfaced.and I’m now 57 .. So in she went . 2 days later they gave me a call ..all done. Wow .drives like a new truck ..the slave cylinder on these is a pain to bleed ..the adjustment on the clutch is a pain..but it’s like brand new. In previous reviews I see a few 1 stars .but I disagree, both my fords ..both manual both had clutches and new slave and master cylinder jobs and both came in at the budget I was quoted. I’m happy and I’m pretty sure you will be to .

Good conversation with regard to my problem with the car understood reviewed the number of suggestions of what may result in fixing the problem. He would call within an hour with their assessment and did so. Repairs were made in the time that was suggested three hours good clear communication, all a great experience. Thank you.
