MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK (December 3, 2014) – Mister Transmission, Canada’s largest chain of transmission and technology experts, is proud to announce Chris Kennedy, owner of Mister Transmission Moncton, was awarded Canadian Technician of the Year for 2014.
Canadian Technician Magazine visited Chris at Mister Transmission’s head office on November 20, 2014. Kennedy was presented the award, along with close to $10K worth in prizes sponsored by Snap-on Tools of Canada and Total Lubricant.
“It has been a very humbling experience to say the least,” says Chris, “I read the stories about the other two finalists, and I’ve really been biting my fingernails, because I obviously had strong competition! I like both of them.” After two rounds of judging, Kennedy won over judges because of his ability to use automotive technology to expand his business and build trust with customers. His nomination was a collaborative effort amongst head office and the franchisees, who are so proud of Chris for earning the title out of 21 qualified nominees. Chris has become an industry leader and an example to all franchisees at Mister Transmission.
The Canadian Technician of the Year Award is chosen from a wide array of nominees from all over the country. This award was developed to recognize industry leaders in the automotive space and inspire technicians to strive for this type of excellence. As an industry, we look for role models like these to inspire our apprentices.
