How Can I Tell If My Transmission is Acting Up?

Recently I received a van off of a family member and it wasn’t shifting properly. The RPM’s were running high, and it was running a bit rough, so I called Mister Transmission in Lindsay and had the pleasure of speaking to Jim. I explained to Jim what had been going on, and he was quick to assist me and give me ideas of what could be happening. The next day I received a call, and Jim had told me the problem and the estimated range of cost for repair.Jim is an honest and reliable transmission mechanic, he fixed my vehicle up for me and told me in great detail what was happening with it. Knowing how expensive and tedious some transmission repairs can be, he saved me a lot of money with his knowledge on my vehicle.I would recommend taking your vehicles to Mister Transmission in Lindsay and I for sure will be back if I have any transmission problems in the future. My van is now running great thanks to Jim at Mister Transmission in Lindsay.

My 2016 Dodge Journey would not pick up speed without revving at a really high rpm. Transmission was slipping and revved hard in reverse. Took it in to Mister Transmission on Portage Ave knowing I most likely needed a new transmission. Got them to check and yes I needed one. They gave me the money back for the diagnostic and I paid for the new transmission. They also provided me with a courtesy car for 5 days. They did the work so quick and made sure my car was fixed properly. My car runs like a brand new vehicle. It picks up speed, rpm is good, and doesnt shake in reverse anymore. Special thanks to Phil and the team for repairing my car and getting it back to working order. They also have a good warrenty on the new transmission. Completely worth the money. Thanks guys.

I cannot say enough good things about dealing with Mister Transmission. Their staff are extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond while working on my transmission. They brought out the filter and pan and explained what they suspect happened before even pulling the transmission apart. They were kind enough to take me into the shop and allow me a visual of what I was looking at and was able to walk away more knowledgeable than going in.They gave me a ride home in their personal vehicle as they did not have a shuttle and didn't even mention taking a taxi as if it wasn't an option.They stuck around late on a Thursday of a long weekend (Friday being the holiday) to ensure the vehicle was returned to me before the long weekend and leaving me without a vehicle for an additional 4 days.I will be returning for fluid changes and any other concerns with other vehicles in the future.
