  • Overall I was satisfied with the service, they helped me in a quick timely manner and were willing to work with my budget. My only complaint is that I told the shop I only had $1500 total ($500 cash and $1000 space on my credit card). I explained that if the problem couldn't be fixed for $1500, then I wouldn't be able to fix it. The manager told me it would be no problem to keep it around that budget and that he would be able to fix it for $1500. When he called, he told me my TOTAL price would be $1508 and change. He did not say $1508 plus tax. When I got to the shop to pay for my invoice and get my van back, It was $200 more than I expected it to be ($1704). (Being on a fixed income, I was a bit embarrassed, as I did not have a way of obtaining the extra funds at that very moment). The manager apologized for the misunderstanding and was able to bring my bill down to $1619 and explained that I could pay the remainder when I come back for the re-check. I just wish he would have been upfront and told me the total price (tax included) before I came to the shop, as this would have saved me some embarrassment and shame of not being able to pay the unexpected additional $119 when arriving at the shop.

  • The transmission was repaired and the vehicle went from un-driveable to great condition in three days. The technicians were great at explaining the likely issue and gave me a price range for repair, and allowed me to take my time to make a decision before taking the transmission apart. Unfortunately, the repair quote after removing the transmission came in $200 above the high end of the quote. However, they were able to bring the price back down to shooting distance of the quoted value which I appreciated. The service was expensive due to its nature, but I am satisfied with the repair, warranty and service.

  • My car had been leaking transmission fluid for about a month and I kept topping it off until my transmission started slipping and I was getting nervous to drive it. I drove into the Dundas location in London without an appointment, and Peter got my car in right away to look at it. He gave me a quote, which I was happy with and had his fellow mechanic start working on my car right away. I was out of his shop 2 hours later with my problem fixed. Tremendous customer service, and also educated me on how transmissions work. I was very happy with the prompt and friendly service that Peter and his team provided me. I will definately be back if I require more service, and would 100% recommend anyone to visit Peter and his team at this location.

  • Price wasn't the most important consideration for me. because my car is nine years old and very well-maintained, and I want to keep it for as long as I can. The description of the transmission problem that I was given via cellphone while I was at work, was amazingly detailed - far beyond my own understanding of engine mechanics, However, I've always believed that whenever you listen to someone talk about something they really care about, the description turns into a kind of poetry.. I knew from the explanation of the problem that my car would be in really good hands. The other much-appreciated factors were that Peter cleared his schedule to have the car back to me by the end of the next day (Friday, May 17), so that I could have my car back for the long weekend. Incidentally, it was about $3000 less expensive than a new transmission would have cost.
