Transmission Maintenance & Service in Clone,

Keep your car on the road with preventative transmission maintenance

Just as you have other parts of your car serviced, your transmission needs maintenance to ensure a long life and avoid transmission problems. Our transmission service consists of a complete diagnosis of your transmission’s performance and general operation. Several of these procedures will be performed twice; once by the centre manager, and then again by a technician. This method allows double checking of your transmission’s key systems, while providing you with added assurance.

Multi-Check Inspection in Clone,

The Mister Transmission Multi-Check Inspection includes:

  • Fluid Check
  • Road Test
  • Lift Inspection/Diagnosis
  • Pan Examination

Learn more about the Multi-Check Inspection:

Transmission Fluid Check

The fluid check indicates the first sign of possible wear and damage. A transmission in good condition will have a clear red fluid. If your fluid is discoloured or has unpleasant odour, this may be an indication of internal wear and damage which is occurring as you drive your vehicle. An unpleasant odour and discoloration, in combination with other symptoms, may require an internal inspection of your transmission.

Road Test

The road test consists of two segments: a stationary test and driving test, which together comprise the most detailed portion of the Multi-Check. Every position of your transmission will be thoroughly tested for slipping, noises, harsh, soft or erratic shifting, as well as late or early shift patterns.

Lift Inspection

During the lift inspection/diagnosis our technician will check the following:

  • Neutral Switch
  • Engine RPM
  • Throttle Linkage
  • Modulators
  • Transmission Mounts
  • U-Joints
  • Fluid Retention
  • Electronic Controls

This will determine if a minor adjustment will correct the problem of your transmission.

Pan Examination

The pan examination is the most important part of the Mister Transmission Multi-Check. It provides the centre manager, technician, and yourself with a partial look inside your transmission.

In all pans, there are some metal particles and friction material present. However, an excessive amount indicates internal wear and damage. If that is the case, and it is determined that a minor adjustment will not correct the problem, we will recommend Mister Transmission’s inspection service. This service will determine exactly what is wrong inside your transmission.

What’s Next After Your Multi-Check Inspection?

Inspection Service

Your transmission is one of the most complex systems in your vehicle, with hundreds of precision parts operating together. Determining the problem and providing a price sometimes requires removing and even dismantling your transmission. Not only will we be able to determine the problem, we’ll also be able to determine the cause to prevent any future problems.

Transmission Fluid Change Service

We also offer a transmission fluid change service to help ensure your transmission continues to operate at its best for years to come.

This is my second time working with Frank. Our initial Nissan transmission replacement still drives like new after 3yrs/100,000km+ put on it. Frank is true honest mechanic and there is a reason his shop has a 5 star rating. After a horrible encounter with a Nissan dealer who nickel and dimed us while diagnosing everything but the problem (they charged over $200 to replace 2 axle nuts that didn't even fix the issue) we cut our losses and took our vehicle to Frank. Just 1 part replaced and all the vibrations were gone. Frank returned the defective parts to us (something the dealer refused to do) and explained what the issue was exactly. I estimate we saved over $800 going with Frank vs what the dealer quoted (possibly more since they were charging for unnecessary "repairs"). We'll definitely be returning to Frank for all of our drivetrain issues. He's no nonsense and understands the value of good customer relationship.
