Driver and team owner Caley Weese is making her mark in the Canadian racing circuit.

Weese is the only female dirt Late Model driver in Ontario, Quebec and upstate New York. This small town charmer from Carrying Place, ON knows what it takes to make it as a female in the male dominated world of racing.
Caley has eight years of accomplished racing under her belt. She started in a 4 cylinder rookie car and worked her way through the ranks. Always racing with the guys, there’s no “Powder Puff” races on this team’s roster.

With only one season behind the wheel of the #77 DIRTCar Pro Late Model, Weese has already competed in some of North America’s largest Late Model circuits including: The World of Outlaw Late Model racing series, O’Reilly All Star Super Late Model series and the Ontario Dirt Late Model series. According to Weese, “budget limitations keep our team from travelling to the larger series races more often, otherwise we’d be there”. Racing weekly at her home tracks, Brighton Speedway in Brighton, ON and Can Am Motorsport Park in LaFargeville, NY keep local fans on the edge of their seats.

As a guru on the marketing scene, Weese takes advantage of her background in Advertising and Integrated and Marketing Communications and her team is the beneficiary. “We might only race from May-October each year, but we never stop promoting and expanding our team from one season to the next” says Weese. After just a few minutes with driver Caley, you can tell she’s serious about this business. “I try to combine consistent results with a killer advertising opportunity for my sponsors and potential sponsors. Our goal is to create a proposal so powerful, it can’t be refused” explains Weese with a smile. So far, the team has confirmed a number of their 2011 sponsors including: Dibbits Excavating, Ten Star Weese Insurance, Foxy Hair & Esthetics and Mister Transmission to name a few.

The team has recently purchased a new chassis for the upcoming season and hope that it will give them the competitive edge they need for the 2011 racing season. The Weese Racing team will cover a lot of ground or “dirt” in the year to come, travelling weekly and competing in as many as 6 racing circuits. We’ll be hearing more about Caley in the months to come, you can bet on that.
