I had and amazing experience thanks to Carlos, on the coldest morning possible my car battery gave out and I just happened to pull in to the parking lot before my car completely shut down at 6:30am. I called and he actually came and picked up my keys from my place of work which was an amazing gesture! I was really impressed with the quality of service and a really upsetting situation for me was made so much less stressful due to the service I received. Thank you!!

The owners know the meaning of customer service is in the details. They not only did the necessary repairs but made me as a customer feel valued.

Being new to Thunder Bay and not realizing that my local garage could/would do the repair, I checked the yellow pages and found Mr Transmission. Knowing that they are a well known national(?) brand, I had every expectation of a quick, professional, reasonably priced repair. Unfortunately, it was not to be. I lost the use of my vehicle for 5 working days, and endured countless excuses/reasons why it would be "tomorrow". To be fair, some may have been legit..but still...5 days for the reputed leader in the field to do a clutch?? And work was done that i did not authorize. On one of my calls to inquire if it was ready, I was told of "other problems" that were found. I was told that a call with a quote would follow, to see if i wanted them to go ahead. This call never came, and the work was done. I have no way of knowing if it was needed or not. They may well have been legit..I have to trust, right??? And when I picked up the car, these extras were billed. I have since learned that the price i paid was approximately $1000 more than my local would have charged. I was very disappointed to learn that I had been taken advantage of. I was quite prepared to pay a FAIR price to have my car repaired..but not to be worked over by someone I thought i could trust. As a single father, it makes me sad to throw my hard earned money away. I would NOT recommend this franchise to any of my friends. I have learned my lesson the hard and expensive way. We knew our transmission wan't quite right. We had just purchased a 2003 BMW and knew it needed special service. We put our trust in Mr. Transmission to find any problem which they did. Big problems were found but they took care of them promptly. It was not a cheap adventure but absolutely necessary.
