Are you having problems with your Acura transmission? Maybe you’re experiencing harsh shifting, RPMs going too high between shifts, a delayed response when you shift gears, or clunking when you shift from forward to reverse. These are all common problems drivers experience with their Acura transmissions.
Because of how complicated computerized transmissions are nowadays, it’s often tough for drivers to tell if their Acura transmission is acting weird, if the problem they’re noticing even stems from their transmission, or if they’re on the verge of a complete transmission breakdown.
Your Acura’s onboard computer receives signals from dozens of separate sensors throughout your vehicle. These sensors monitor a wide variety of performance-related systems. At Mister Transmission of Goulds, we have special software that can interface with your Acura’s onboard computer to find the cause of the problem.

Acura transmissions then and now
Honda introduced the first Acura to the Canadian market in 1986. Since then, this luxury vehicle line has earned a reputation for reliability. The Acura is one of the top-selling luxury models, offering a more practical alternative to comparable European-made luxury vehicles.
Starting with their 2017 models, some Acuras now have a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. Honda introduced these transmissions to eliminate the jerky function some dual-clutch transmissions present while also multiplying the torque.
