Comprehensive Transmissions Diagnostic Evaluation
A professional transmissions diagnostic is the foundation of accurate transmission service and repair. At Mister Transmission Sarnia, the process begins with a detailed review of your vehicle’s symptoms, including slipping, delayed shifting, dashboard warning lights, unusual noises, or loss of acceleration. This step helps narrow down potential issues before deeper inspection begins.
Visual Inspection and Transmission Fluid Analysis
As part of a complete transmissions diagnostic, technicians perform a hands-on inspection of the transmission system. This includes checking for fluid leaks, damaged seals, worn components, and loose connections. Transmission fluid is analyzed for level, color, and odor, as burnt or contaminated fluid often signals internal wear or overheating that requires attention.
Advanced Computerized Transmissions Diagnostic Testing
Modern vehicles rely heavily on electronic controls. Using advanced diagnostic tools, Mister Transmission Sarnia scans for fault codes related to automatic transmission, manual transmission, and control system performance. These scans help identify sensor failures, solenoid issues, or electronic communication problems affecting shifting behavior.
Road Testing and Performance Verification
When needed, a controlled road test is performed to evaluate real-world operation. Technicians assess shifting smoothness, acceleration response, vibration, and transmission slipping under driving conditions.
Clear Results and Trusted Repair Recommendations
After completing the transmissions diagnostic, Mister Transmission Sarnia provides a clear explanation of findings and recommends the appropriate transmission repair or service—ensuring informed decisions and no unnecessary work.
