Happy with the outcome! Recently my GMC Sierra developed transmission problems. Engine light on dash confirmed a transmission temp sensor failure. It also had dreaded Chevy shutter at slow speeds. Other shops wanted to charge me just to diagnose the problem. Mr. Transmission did so at no cost! Matt was great. He explained my options and didn't pressure me into the $8000 rebuild. I decided to take a chance on the less expensive option. Changing the fluid, filter and replacing the temp sensor assembly. He told me that once they started if anything major shows up he would call and we could consider the next course of action. I got lucky for now. Everything went well. The truck is running much much better. Best part the total cost spent was a little less then quoted.

I found Matt and his team about 5 years ago after researching the best transmission place in town. My experience was so good I asked if they can do other work for me and they can. They are now my #1 choice for all things auto repair. Friendly, competent, and very fairly priced, we have yet to have a bad experience. Highly recommend! Ps: just had rotors and pads all around done for $600 cheaper than the quote from the dealer (queen mary and bath) gave us when we forced to go there for some warranty work.

I took my Nissan Sentra here to have the transmission looked at as it was acting up. They diagnosed my transmission to be failing and explained that due to the poor quality of the Nissan CVT transmission and all the issues that the transmissions have, they prefer not to rebuild these transmissions as they often fail again for new reasons, and the car owner is stuck with repeated costly repairs. They also explained to me what to do to extend the life of my failing transmission. I did my research and found that this was all true. The best way I can thank this shop for their honesty and saving me the costly repairs is to write this review. I have since bought a new Toyota Camry and they checked my transmission again to find it working well. A big shout out for this honest mechanic.
